Detailed comparison
Beach worming: the displayed window is exactly 1 hour before to 1 hour after the modelled low tide. For example, a 1:00 pm low tide produces a 12:00 pm–2:00 pm worming window.
Wind shelter: FishNow uses the forecast wind direction plus a stored orientation/headland profile for mapped beaches. Shelter can improve a marginal recommendation, but does not override strong-wind or swell safety limits. Searched beaches without a mapped profile show no section recommendation.
Drone flying conditions: display-only weather check for a Phantom 3 Standard carrying a bait loader and nominal 400 g payload over water. It does not change any FishNow fishing score, ranking or Should I Go logic. DJI does not publish a manufacturer-approved external payload rating for this aircraft, so this is a conservative weather guide rather than a guarantee of safe flight.
Tides4Fishing: the comparison uses the same lightweight public-page activity scraper used in FishNow v0.3.7 and is not used in FishNow's own score.
* Tide height: Open-Meteo sea-level height is referenced to global mean sea level (MSL), not the BOM/Tides4Fishing chart datum. Use the named BOM reference station for official local tide-table heights.
